What is Mechatronics?
Mechatronics has been defined as the multidisciplinary field of engineering that includes a combination of mechanical engineering, robotics, electronics, computer engineering, telecommunications engineering, systems engineering, and control engineering. With the Mechatronics Academy I am able to prepare myself for job opportunities that may not even exist yet.

Why did I join Mechatronics?
The opportunity to work with my friends on multiple projects was a large factor in my decision, however, I also chose Mechatronics because I believe that it's important to broaden the horizons of your learning. When I graduate high school I want to become a teacher, so, the more that I learn the more that I can teach. Perhaps I could teach a mechanics or robotics class aside from teaching core subjects.
This class has been an unforgettable experience so far and I don't regret going down this path. For our first project we were tasked with building a robotic arm. That's the kind of stuff that the dedicated students of the mechatronics academy do. It was an offer that I just couldn't pass up. |
Innovation is seeing
what everybody has
seen and thinking what
nobody has thought.
